The Occupational Medicine Team at Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) keeps abreast of the latest information on COVID-19 and how it can affect the workplace. They are now offering video visits for Return to Work clearance following COVID illness or exposure. Your employee can connect with an Occupational Medicine provider from the comfort of their home. After the medical provider has evaluated the employee, the provider will send work release documentation electronically to your business and the employee. Whether your employee has been recovering at home from COVID-19 illness or quarantined following exposure, NGPG’s Occupational Medicine team will provide a medical evaluation using the CDC criteria for returning to work.

The cost for this service is a flat fee of $50.

Here’s how it works:

If the employer will be paying for the visit:

  • Employer:
    • Calls 770-219-8275 (M-F, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) to set up (or update) your business profile for billing and provide your employee’s email address.
  • NGPG will:
    • Email necessary forms to the employee for them to complete and return
    • Contact your employee to set up a video visit
    • Provide the Return to Work form to the employee and employer via email
