Amicalola EMC donates $20,000 to Development Authority of Lumpkin County
DAHLONEGA, Ga. – Amicalola EMC presented the Development Authority of Lumpkin County Board of Directors with a $20,000 donation at the September 24, 2019 board meeting. “We’ve got a check here for $20,000 for the Development Authority of Lumpkin County’s economic development projects,” said Amicalola EMC CEO Todd Payne. “We are a strong supporter of the communities we serve and are glad to be able to help.”
This donation is a part of $370,000 Amicalola EMC is donating throughout the region from capital credit refunds that have been unclaimed. According to a 2005 change in Georgia’s unclaimed property law, Amicalola EMC can distribute these unclaimed refunds for three purposes: Education, Economic Development, and 501(c)3 charities.
