Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Lumpkin, Official Ground Breaking Ceremony

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – A good healthcare system is economic development and directly supports the quality of life of Lumpkin County residents and the region! The healthcare industry is one of the fastest growing industries in Lumpkin County. Between 2018 to 2021, the number of healthcare and social assistance establishments in Lumpkin County grew by 14%. During the same time period, the percentage of total jobs in Lumpkin County associated with healthcare and social assistance grew by 59%.

On Wednesday, June 22, 2022 the Development Authority of Lumpkin County, Georgia was proud to join members of the community for the ground breaking ceremony of the new Northeast Georgia Medical Center Lumpkin facility along 400. The facility will be constructed to expand with regional needs. The first phase will provide 16 patient rooms, inpatient telehealth specialty care, café & dining area, on-site lab and pharmacy, emergency services, and surgical services. The facility will be opening in 2024!
