2023 State of Economic Development Award Winners
DAHLONEGA, Ga. – Thank you to everyone who attended the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce State of Economic Development Luncheon on Thursday, November 16. We are always eager to share information about the workforce development, special projects, and business recruitment/retention initiatives we are working on. This year we recognized the following businesses with State of the Economy Awards:
Economic Investment: DahloneGO
The Economic Investment Award recognizes a company’s investment in equipment, machinery, materials, real estate, and employees within Lumpkin County.
Corporate Responsibility: R-Ranch in the Mountains
The Corporate Responsibility Award recognizes a company that brings a high level of value to the community and generates positive impact.
Workforce Development: Blue Coolers
The Workforce Development Award recognizes a company’s initiatives to educate and train individuals to meet the current and future needs of a business while also positively contributing to the overall labor force in Lumpkin County.
Business of the Year: Satellite Industries
In addition to the Development Authority of Lumpkin County awards, the Downtown Development Authority recognized several downtown businesses:
